Obviously, there's the clothes, the models, and the fantastic parties - but I think the photographers' pit is by far, my favourite thing about fashion week.

Usual suspects.

I like what I like. I'm also a creature of habit, which makes for a lot of repeat appearances on here of certain items I wear ALL THE TIME. I only wear one colour of lipstick (RED, d'uh) in varying shades, and as far as accessories are concerned - they aren't usually my thing, so when I find ones that I'm really attracted to - you can pretty much guarantee they'll be in heavy circulation until they break, or I misplace them in a folded shirt sleeve.

Eye spy.

Spotted this guy at a show, channelling CHANEL's Cocomation campaign. What do you think about those brows? Yay, or nay?

Once upon a time, an old lady rocked too hard at a rap show, took a midnight stroll in the rain, and ended up with a wicked cold. Then that old lady was sick in bed and missed out on a fashion showcase.

That old lady was me. 

I might have missed out on the presentation, but I was there for the making - which is arguably equally as cool.

I've always been fascinated by the whirlwind that models navigate through during a fashion show. There's just SO MUCH going on, it's a wonder they all manage to make it onto the runway at all, sometimes. 

Yesterday, I followed Andrej Pejic around as he got ready to walk Arthur Mendoca's SS2012 show at Toronto Fashion Week. I wasn't on a plane today like he was, and I didn't have to go through hair or make-up, much less walk the runway. Oh, and did I mention all of the photos and tv interviews he had to do?! Despite not having to do any of that, I'm already exhausted, and I may have shadowed Andrej for two hours, tops.

This has been my life lately. If I'm not at work, I'm at school - and if I'm not at school, I'm at work. Therefore, blogging's been a bit of a challenge, because frankly, I just haven't had the energy to photograph anything I've worn for the last month and a half.

However, I'll make more of an effort because IT'S FASHION WEEK! I'm excited. Exhausted, but definitely excited. Here's hoping I remember to charge the batteries for my camera. Oy.

Last week, on an unseasonably warm evening, I went to my good friend Roxy's engagement party. It was sort of a big deal. Such a big deal, in fact, that I actually went out and shopped for a new dress. I didn't really have to - obviously - but I also couldn't NOT buy the dress I found when I found it. It was just too good to pass up!

I didn't take any shots of my entire outfit on the day I wore it. I mean, c'mon - MY FRIEND GOT ENGAGED! Obviously, I had bigger fish to fry. However, I did manage to shoot the ever-so-popular "mirror-photo-inside-the-fitting-room," so that'll just have to do. (I'm sorry I'm such a terrible blogger.)

Oh! And how could I not show you how good everyone looked at this fancy shindig?!

It was only a matter of time, I suppose. 

Kanye West recently presented his self titled label during Paris fashion week. I can't say I hated it - but I can't say I loved it, either. What I CAN say, however, is that I'm hopeful that the collection will get better in the following seasons. Oh, and I did sort of love the obscene amounts of leather and fur he used. I mean, would it really have been a true "Kanye" collection without it?
