LIPSTICK & LEATHER x CTD

Kane and I recently did some work with his younger brother Cary for his t-shirt line, CTD. We took to the streets of Toronto to shoot his latest collection, and  these are a few teaser shots.

I wasn't expecting to be in front of the camera at all for this, but alas, someone had to wear the ladies' t-shirt.
Graphic tee enthusiasts definitely need to check him out. He's also got hoodies, caps, and toques if graphic tees aren't necessarily your cup of tea.

You can follow him on Instagram, Twitter, or Facebook. Or, better yet, if you want to buy pieces from his collection, check out his online shop HERE

BEHIND THE SCENES

Got a chance to shoot with my good pal Patrick yesterday. I'm pretty excited to see the final product—and obviously, to show you guys!

It's always an interesting experience when I'm in a studio setting, 'cause I'm not used to someone directing me, but it is fun, especially since I'm not a model by any means.

TYRA, BEING (EVERYONE BUT) TYRA

Tyra Banks recently posted some photos of herself, posing as different supermodels. I've got to say, the photos are pretty impressive. Can you guess who the models in the photos are supposed to be? (Photos below.)

"A LACK OF COLOUR"

I was featured, among other stylish Toronto folks, in MTV's street style section, in a style story called, "A lack of colour." Figures. I'd be lying if I said that I haven't been wearing as many all-black-everything outfits as of late, but I CAN say that I've been including whites in more of my outfits. Someone noticed, and here I am, in all my black-and-white glory:

And interesting look at the whole fashion-photography phenomenon.

What I've been up to.

So I "modelled" for some friends last week, as you may have guessed from this post from a few days ago. Here's the final product:

Photography: Aleksandra Trajkovic (Aphrodite Photography) | Makeup/Hair: Racquelle Nembhard | Styling: Aleksandra Trajkovic/Racquelle Nembhard
Et voilà! With the help of Aleks' photography, A LOT of direction, and Racquelle's makeup - I actually look like I maybe sort of know what I'm doing. Oh! And did I mention they paid me in coffee and fast food? Well they did, and I loved it.

Stay tuned for a possible round two - assuming of course I can still fit into my clothes after my fast food paycheque.

Travel diary.

It's officially been one week since my return back to Toronto. Today feels more like my first day of second semester than my actual first day did, probably because I think I'm finally over my jet lag and I can focus at once on a multitude of tasks without getting a headache (Actually, that's a lie. Most of my school work still gives me a headache). It also helps that now, I've actually got a grasp on what day of the week it is, which is generally conducive to attending the right class on the right day, etc.

However, as nice as it is to be home, I'm already forgetting how lovely it was to not have to risk hypothermia every time I took a step outdoors. Looking through the (many, MANY) photos I took during those three weeks I was away is helping with that a bit.

I suppose now, all I can do is wait 'til Summer. Six months isn't really a long time from now, right?

Bianka and Andrew.

This post is a little off-base from my usual subject matter, but I think that just this once, you all can humour me, right?

Last Saturday, I accompanied a fine, young gentleman to the wedding of Bianka and Andrew (pictured above. D'uh.) Although we couldn't stay very long, on account of a story too long for me to share, we did get to stick around long enough for me to get some shots of these two looking absolutely in love. No big deal.

What a beautiful day spent with beautiful people. And you what, this post isn't actually too far off from my usual stuff. I mean, you have to admit - these two looked great.
