"BRUNCH-SQUIAT"

On the coldest day of the year (so far) in Toronto, my boyfriend Kane and I decided that we'd go on a post-Valentine's day date—because going out on Valentine's day is so passé. Haha.

We decided that we'd go to brunch before seeing the Basquiat exhibit at the Art Gallery of Ontario, which coincidentally, we then received passes to. (Thanks, Doreen!!!) Kane then dubbed the day "brunch-squiat," because apparently, he's got an aptitude for creating compound words.*

*Not really, but we'll let him think so.

Brunch was delicious, although a little too mushroom-y for Kane's liking, and the mimosas were top notch. We almost didn't want to leave! Of course, this was partly because the restaurant was warm, and the frigid temperatures outside were a little less than inviting.

We weren't allowed to take photographs inside the exhibit, so my outfit photo was taken after we checked out the exhibit. I was really just happy I didn't need to be outdoors to take photos, because there are at least two more layers you're not seeing that were definitely added on top of this outfit to keep me "warm."

If you haven't already, I highly suggest checking out the exhibit if you're in the city. It runs 'til May 10th, so you've got plenty of time. Go!
